When you think about your body, does it make you happy?
Unfortunately for 91% of women, the answer to that question is a big FAT NO (pun intended). Most of us go through life thinking that once we HAVE the body we want, we’ll then DO the things we know to do to take care of it, and then we’ll finally BE happy – with our bodies and our lives.
What if I told you that most of us have it all backwards? That the ONLY way to truly have – and maintain – a body that you love is to first BE happy with yourself, inside and out.
When this happens – when you develop true self-acceptance, a miraculous ripple effect occurs: you will automatically DO the most supportive things for your health and energy, and then you will HAVE the body you want. It will literally transform right before your eyes:
It becomes a beautifully unique vessel that you honour, respect and absolutely LOVE for its perfect imperfections—not despite them; and this feeling lasts for as long as your body does.
Sound too good to be true?
If I hadn’t gone through this process myself, and experienced the freedom that this gave me from obsessing over new diets and fitness programs (and NEVER having the desired result or happiness), I may have thought so too. I always believed that dieting and reaching my “goal weight” was the answer to all my body-image problems.
But I now know it to be a fact that, no matter how much “success” you have on a diet, the results will be short-lived if you don’t first approach your inner state: your self-acceptance and self-love. The happiness that weight-loss gives you will otherwise only be fleeting, if existent at all.
I’ve learned that the key to becoming confident in my body was inside me all along. Tapping into this inner wisdom was my major challenge to overcome, and it took me many, many years to discover and refine the process that allowed me to do this.
And now I help to expedite this process for others.
Can you lose weight throughout this process? Absolutely! IF your body requires that to be in its healthiest, most energetic state. But the sweetest thing about this process, is that the weight-loss happens when you’re not even looking. It did for me, and I’ve never had a weight or body-image struggle since.
